Traveling on 2 wheels with us old broads…

Mary and I have stopped for the night in Ocala, FL.  Our day started with rain in Deerfield Beach.  But it got better after that.  Before noon the sun was out and we had dropped the top again on the MiniCooper.  Our day wasn’t too exciting…  just out for a drive.  We set our sights for Daytona Beach and off we went.  I just had to see where the famed “DAYTONA BIKE WEEK” took place.

Again today we were off and on A1A all morning… just enjoying the Atlantic as often as we could catch a glimpse.  Welcome to the land of miniature golf, exotic cars, and more CVS and Walgreens than the law should allow.  The loop at Daytona Beach was awesome.   I could just see thousands of bikes  dragging up and down the strip!  One of these days…

Oh yeah, did I tell you that we also rolled by the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral.  Lots of history there.  Then we spent the rest of the afternoon on Florida Scenic 40 across the state.

We stopped for supper at FatBoy’s BBQ.  How can you beat all-you-can-eat ribs for $8.25.  Nothing too special about the ribs but the sauce was over the top!  So good, in fact, that we bought a pint to bring home with us.  I know some of you will get to taste with us.

That’s all for now.  Plan on hitting the Gulf  coast tomorrow for our days’ travel.  It should be fun!
