Traveling on 2 wheels with us old broads…

Last day… not last blog

We all know by now that the ride is over.  While I’m certain that none of us were ready for the adventure to end…  we were ready to get back to family and friends.

Can anyone remember just how many beautiful riding days we’ve had?  Be sure to include today in that number.    Most of our day was spent riding through Monument Valley in Arizona then to Four Corners.  Ran into a mess of construction along highway 160 that delayed us for 30 or 40 minutes.  Skirted Farmington, NM but managed to pull over for gas and “the best mexican food of the trip”.  That was Mary’s opinion of the fried green chile and cheese dog from the convenience store deli.  She did like it alot but I have to qualify the statement by saying that everything tastes better on the road.

We made our way into Albuquerque by about 6:30 and decided to load the bikes before we went to the motel.  So now we are ready to roll in the morning.

That’s about all I’m going to blog tonight but check back in a day or two and I’ll share our “favorites” of the trip, as well as the disappointments.  Once again I hope you have enjoyed.

  1. Good Trip! Can hardly wait to hear all about it in person when we all end up in Arkansas. Right now, we are enjoying beautiful Creede, Colorado and surrounding areas.
