Traveling on 2 wheels with us old broads…

gawwwllleeee!!!!

Guess it doesn’t take much to impress these two southern girls! We just can’t begin to tell you how beautiful it is around here. Not at all what either one of us was expecting. Most all the yards around here are manicured! I’m talking about with a finishing mower and all sorts of flowers! Then there is the countryside. Farms are orderly and clean looking. No farmhouses with abandoned tractors or cars in the yard, if you know what I mean.

But the cream on top is the landscape. When you think of New York, you think of the city…just like we did. You have no concept of what the rest of the state looks like. Today, after we left the tollway, we headed north for the Adirondacks. Slow sweeping curves, small towns and vacation villages, beautiful lakes, and smooth mountains. We rode for hours amongst the pines, cedars and aspens. It rained off and on all day and we got wet and dry more times than we could count!

…this is all for tonight! Having problems downloading and connecting to the internet. More tomorrow.

  1. Sounds like we should get some beautiful and interesting pictures when you find a better connection. Beautiful day here with nice weather and blue skies filled with fluffy white clouds as Connie and I drove out to Cantril. Mary would really love our beautiful scenery right now! Same as when she saw it. Corn and bean fields EVERYWHERE!!

    • Dot-you are never going to let me forget about all those corn fields!! Like B is not going to let you forget about the great river road.
